📖 1. Saluer et exprimer une opinion

• Pour saluer, on peut dire:
  • Good morning
  • Good afternoon
  • Hello!
  • Hi!
  • Good bye!
  • Bye!

📌 « I agree with x » signifie que l’on est d’accord avec x, tandis que « I disagree with x » signifie que l’on n’est pas d’accord avec x.

• Pour exprimer une opinion, on peut utiliser:
  • I think (that)
  • I believe (that)
  • In my opinion
  • I think it’s not correct
  • He/she should have said...

Compléments

• Pour prendre congé ou annoncer une prochaine rencontre, on peut dire:
  • See you later
  • See you on ___ day
  • See you next week

📖 2. Exprimer un besoin et s’excuser

★ À maîtriser

• Pour exprimer un besoin ou demander de l’aide, on peut dire:

  • I need more time
  • Can someone help me?
  • Can I have/borrow a glue stick / a sheet of paper?
  • How do you pronounce this word?

• Pour s’excuser d’un retard, on peut dire « I’m sorry, I’m late » ou « Sorry for being late ».

• Pour s’excuser d’un oubli ou d’un devoir non fait, on peut dire « I’ve forgotten my notebook / my pencil case / my contact book / my diary... » ou « I’m sorry, I haven’t done my homework ».

Compléments

• Pour signaler un problème de santé ou de confort, on peut dire:
  • I’m not feeling well, can I go out / can I go to the infirmary / can I go to the toilet?
  • It’s too bright, could you pull down the blinds, please?
  • I can’t see the board, could you step aside, please?

📖 3. Demander et participer en classe

★ À maîtriser

• Pour demander une permission, on peut dire:

  • Can I open/close the window(s) / the blinds?
  • Can I switch on / off the lights?
  • Can I go to the bin?

• Pour signaler une incompréhension, on peut dire:

  • I don’t understand, can/could you explain again?
  • Can/Could you repeat please?
  • Can/Could you speak up?
  • Can/Could you spell it?

• Pour parler des activités de classe, on peut demander:

  • Is it group work / pair work?
  • Can I work with x?
  • Is it marked=graded?
  • Is it my turn to speak?
  • When is the test?
  • How much time do we have left?

• Pour être utile en classe, on peut proposer:
  • Can I clean = wipe the board?
  • Can I give out = hand out = distribute the worksheets?

📖 4. Pronoms personnels et possessifs

🔑 Notions clés & Définitions

• Pronom sujet : indique la personne ou la chose qui accomplit l’action : I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they.
• Pronom complément : désigne la personne ou la chose qui reçoit l’action : me, you, him, her, it, us, you, them.
• Adjectif possessif : accompagne un nom pour indiquer la possession : my, your, his, her, its, our, your, their.

★ À maîtriser

📌 Les pronoms possessifs sont mine, yours, his, hers, ours, yours et theirs ; il n’existe pas de pronom possessif pour it.
