📖 1. Exprimer la position des éléments

🔑 Notions clés & Définitions

• At the top : Signifie « en haut » et s’emploie pour situer un élément dans la partie supérieure du logo : « The star is at the top of the logo. »
• At the bottom : Signifie « en bas » et s’emploie pour situer un élément dans la partie inférieure du logo : « The waves are at the bottom. »
• On the left : Signifie « à gauche » et permet de situer un élément : « The book is on the left. »
• On the right : Signifie « à droite » et permet de situer un élément : « The tree is on the right. »
• In the centre : Ou « in the middle », signifie « au centre » ou « au milieu » : « The person is in the centre. »
• In the background : Signifie « à l’arrière-plan » : « The mountains are in the background. »
• In the foreground : Signifie « au premier plan » ou « devant tout » : « The person is in the foreground. »
• Other position expressions : Les autres expressions de position sont « next to » = à côté de, « between ... and ... » = entre ... et ..., « behind » = derrière, « in front of » = devant, « under » = sous, « above » = au-dessus, « inside » = à l’intérieur et « around » = autour.

📖 2. Organiser la description

• Les connecteurs servent à organiser la description:
  • « First of all » pour introduire le premier élément
  • « Then » pour ajouter un élément
  • « After that » ou « Next » pour continuer
  • « On top of that », « In addition » ou « Moreover » pour ajouter une idée
  • « Finally » pour introduire le dernier élément ou conclure

Compléments

• Une description peut commencer par « First of all, there is a star at the top. », puis continuer avec « Then, there is a mountain in the background. » et « After that, I added a book on the left. »

• Stand for : Signifie « représenter » : « The star represents my dreams and my goals. It stands for my ambitions. »

• To add : Signifie « ajouter » : « After that, I added a book on the left. »
